bef 1653 when William was 24, he married Abigail Hewes, daughter of John Hewes (ca 1608-bet 1671 and 1674) & Joan [Hewes] (-aft 6 Feb 1671) Born ca 1633.
The discoverable truth is that William Hatch, Junior (the son of Elder William) married Abigail and died in Virginia. In his will dated 13 September 1653, William, Junior stated he was on a trip to Virginiaand named his wife, Abigail, and his daughter, Phebe. The probate record dated 4 May 1657, refers to him as William, Junior(81)which makes him a son of William.
