Death
Center Junction, December 22.Mrs. G. Katherine Antons, (nee Janssen), died at the hoome of her son near Center Junction, December 14th., about five o'clock in the afternoon. She was originally taken ill two years ago, and last spring suffered a stroke of paralysis. She was born November 23, 1839, at Mars, Astfriesia, Germany. She was a daughter of John H. and Hilka C. Janssen. Soon after here birth, December 15, 1839, she was baptized. She was confirmed in the year 1855. Ten years later, October 31, 1865, she was married to John Henry Antons. To this union there were born six children, three boys and three daughters, all of whom are living. In the fall of 1881 the family immigrated to the United States and settled on a farm in Wayne Center, where they lived until 1892, when they removed to a farm near Center Junction. The children surviving Mrs. Antons are: John and Gerd of Center Junction. Henry of Manchester, Mrs. John Stahlberg of Scotch Grove, Mrs. Carl Teton of Laurel, Nebraska, Mrs. John Redloff of Wyoming, and also by a number of grand-children. Mrs. Antons received the Holy Sacrament a week before her death and died with a beautiful faith in the belief that she would soon meet her Maker face to face.
