Excerpt from letter written in 1922 by Thomas H. Blakemore to his cousin Maud:
... Aunt Ann married a man by the name of Thompson and John Theodore was the result. The husband died and while her child was a mere babe she married Alexander Hamilton Wing who adopted her child and he has always been known as John T. Wing, John married and Lily and Nellie were the result. Lily died; Nellie married twice divorcing her first husband and marrying Rolla Trent by whom she has a little girl between 4 and 6 years old. The live in the city of Vandalia and Nellie does not know that Uncle Ham was not her grandfather and she doesn't need to know.
