Barfield and Blake Barfield and Cullen Barfield and EB Lee and wife Narcissis tenants in common of the lands accorded to them as children and heirs at Law of Frederick Barfield deceased whose .... State of North Carolina, Sampson County To the worshipful Justices of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, Febr. Term 1851 We the undersigned commifsioners appointed by the Court - - - proceed on the 13th day of December 1850 to divide & make partition between and among, Blake Barfield & George Barfield, Erasmus B. Lee & Wife Narcifsa, Sarah Barfield, Widow, Cullin Barfield & Bowdoin Grantham & Wife Cherry, Willis B. Barefield (sic), Joseph Breece & wife Edith Elizabeth, Granger Barefield (sic) Powel Blackmon & Wife Polly Ann (sic) & John F. Barefield (sic). Whereupon we leave made and do hereby make the following appropriations among the respective claimants in severalty that is to say -----In the division of the slaves belonging to the estate of Frederick Barefield, (sic) dec'd.REDERICK BAREFIELD, dec’d
JACOB lot no. 1 valued at $700 to BLAKE BAREFIELD lot no. 1 receive from lot no. 5 $22.74.
BRISTON lot no. 2 valued at $750 to GEORGE BAREFIELD lot no. 2 receive from lot no. 5 $38.63
ISBEL and ISAAC lot no. 3 valued at $650 – to ERASMUS BLEE & wife NARCIFSA lot no. 3 receive from lot no. 11 #136.37
JUDY and SIMON lot no. 4 valued at $700 to WIDOW lot no. 4 receive from lot no. 9 $86.37
JULIAN & CUBIE lot no. 5 v’d at $850 to CULLEN BAREFIELD& lot no. 5 pay to lot no. 1 $22.74 and to lot no. 2 $38.63.
CHANEY & JACK lot no. 6 v’d at $700 to BOWDOIN GRANTHAM and wife CHERRY receive from lot no. 7 $61.37 and from lot no. 8 $27.26
