He made a will 26 Nov 1813 Camden, Kershaw Co., SC. This information comes from the Genealogical Collection of Leonardo Andreas, Horton folder. His estate was administered by his widow, Elizabeth Horton. Her bond was signed by Haburd Horton and Hardy Horton. The inventory was made by Thomas Welsh, Simon West, Samuel Caston and Jn. Trusdel. An equity writ was mentioned for partition of lands. (Andrea looked for writ but the files in Camden had no usable index). No list of theirs except that it is stated that he had children. Buyers at the sale: Elizabeth Horton, Ivy Horton, Hardy Horton, Michael Horton, William Horton, Jonathan Horton, Jincy Oram, James Craig, Halburt Horton, George Miller, Chares Bailey, John Davidson, Samuel Jones, Cornelius Quinlan, Thomas Welch, Samuel Love, Robert Miller, John Stephens, Polly Hammond, Joseph Kittrell, Robert Smythe, William Twitty, James Bullard, James Trusdell, Matthew Sims, Samuel Caston, George Petty. The rent on the farm at Hanging Rock--1st year to the widow, Elizabeth Horton, 1st year rent of the mill to Ivy Horton, 2nd year rent of farm to Hardy Horton. When he died John Horton was administrator of the estate of Henry Horton in Lancaster Co. He stilled owed $81.50 to the estate and heirs of Henry Horton.
