Wednesday last Mr. John Mathewes (son of John) was married to Miss Mary Wragg, daughter of William Wragg, Esq., one of the representatives in assembly for the parish of St. John, in Colleton county. "Miss Wragg who I suppose thought it better late than never, shook hands for life last week, with Jack Mathewes. They had a mighty jolly wedding of it up at ye Baroney"
