FORT BRAGG -- Mrs. Susan Lavina Rowe died Sunday at her home, 205 South street, Fort Bragg, at the age of 90. Born at Bally Bay, Ireland, her marriage to Mr. Rowe was in 1896, and they came to Mendocino county shortly thereafter spending the remainder of their lives in this community, where they were highly regarded.
Mrs. Rowe was the mother of Mrs. Erma English, Violet Rowe, Albert, Harold, Leslie, and William Rowe, all of Fort Bragg; the grandmother of William Rowe, Fort Bragg; Jo Ann Stoddard, Ukiah; Gayle White, Jeralyn Cownie, James English, Leslie Rowe and Dennis Rowe of Fort Bragg.
She was long a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Bragg.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Cannarr - Fairlee Funeral Home. Rev. J. Lewis Kent will officiate.
Four sons and two grandsons will be the pallbearers. Burial will be in the family plot in Rose Memorial Park, under the direction of E. Bryan Fairlee.

Oldtime Fort Bragg Resident Passes Away
Mrs. Susan Lavina Rowe died at her home, 205 South street, Fort Bragg, May 21st, at the age of 90.
Born at Bally Bay, Monaghan County, Ireland, her marriage to Mr. Rowe was in 1896, and they came to Mendocino county shortly thereafter and had lived the remainder of their lives in this community where they were highly regarded.
Mr. Rowe preceded her in death many years ago.
Mrs. Rowe was the mother of Mrs. Erma I. English, Violet E. Rowe, Albert J., Harold J., Leslie H., and William G. Rowe, all of Fort Bragg; the grandmother of William G. Rowe, Fort Bragg; Jo Ann Stoddard, Ukiah; Gayle White, Jeralyn Cownie, James English, Leslie Rowe and Dennis Rowe, all of Fort Bragg, and 9 great-grandchildren.
