In the Archdeaconry Tauton is the following will nuncupative (made orally, not written) of Joan White of West Quantoxhead, Co. Somerset, widow, declared a little before her death.To Richard White, her eldest son 20s.
To her son Gowan "if he be living," 12d.
To her daughter Agnes, her best petticoat.
Residuary legatee and executrix, Alice White, her daughter.
Witnesses: John Cambear, Alexander Wither.
Proved 2 May 1637 by the executrix.
The inventory was taken on 4 Jan 12 Charles 1, by Richard Edments, Richard Lukas, John Slococke, Hugh Downe and Samuel Cooksley.
