On Jan. 22, 1745, William Coleman conveyed to Francis Strother of St. Martin's Parish, Hanover Co, 583 1-3 acres in St. Mark's Parish, Orange Co., near the county seat of the present Rappahannock Co.
Here he removed and settled close by his son John, until his death in 1852 (Crozier 225).
