William Dabney Strother IV "of Orange"

On Aug 1, 1727, Margaret Strother gave by deed to her son Francis of Hanover Co, certain slaves with reversion to her grandson William Strother.
In 1749, there was a grant of 400 acres in Orange Co., adjoining Francis and John Strother, to William Strother, son of Francis, which grant was subsequently sold by William to John Strother.

William was a large landed proprietor in Culpeper and Orange.

On Oct. 25, 1759, he as "of the county of Orange, Planter, and Sarah his wife, late widow and relict of William Pannill, late of the county of Culpeper, "conveyed to her sons William and David Pannill, 400 acres in Orange.
