Joseph Hastings

(6 May 1669 - 27 Feb 1725)

Joseph worked as a weaver in Cambridge. After his marriage he settled in Reading where he petitioned the General Court for relief, stating that near Exter during an expedition against the Indians in 1690 he was wounded by a shot near his eye which destroyed his sight. The Court granted him £10 money. He moved his family to Weston in July 1716 where they became members of the church.
