Isaac DeWitt b. 9 Mar 1794 m. 30 Oct 1813 (Sussex County marriage record) Magdalena Washer, known as Lanor, b. 20 Aug 1787 Sussex County, New Jersey daughter of Peter Washer and Mary Mains. Removed to Morrow County, Ohio perhaps in 1816 (biography of son in law William Feigley). Settled on 40 acres on Owl Creek near Salem Church and in 1818 an additional 80 acres west of Mt. Gilead. Enumerated in Marion Township, Marion County in 1830 and Gilead Township, Marion County in 1840. Isaac d. 16 July 1843 buried Rivercliff Cemetery, Mt. Gilead, Morrow County, Ohio. Peter DeWitt was the administrator of the estate (Marion County, Ohio Court Issue Docket Oct 1846 case 65, Mar 1847 term case 49, June 1847 term case 48). Lanor enumerated in Gilead township in 1850, two youngest children residing with her. Lanor d. Apr 1874 74y at the Infirmary in Gilead Township of dropsy (Morrow County death record) or 27 Mar 1871.
