In an email, dated May 26, 2002, Leigh Dickerson Davidson wrote, saying, "Charles L. Dickerson was the grandson of Alexander Dickinson. There was a 1937 letter from him to the Crowell people, whose research preceded Wilton's, saying that he didn't know much about the family because his grandfather (Alex) had died when he was only three years old. All he knew/could remember was that "a Dickinson and his three sons settled in RI."

Charles worked most of his life in a shoe factory the Prouty Company. Charles died at the home of his son, Roger, on November 16, 1942 in Spencer, MA. The obituaries for both Charles and George list them as members of a variety of social clubs and orders.

Steve Dickinson, 12/6/02: Charles and Susie's son, Roger Francis Dickinson, was born Sept. 16, 1904 in Spencer. He died Mar. 19, 1984 in Spencer. He graduated from Spencer High School and received a BA degree from Clark University in Worcester. He majored in English. He married Mildred Estelle Whitcomb, the daughter of Arthur C. Whitcomb and Louise Fisher. Mildred was born Jul 29, 1905 and died June 25 1984. Roger was an English Teacher and the the principal of David Prouty High School in Spencer. Mildred was the town librarian at Richard Sugden Library. The library is named after same Richard Sugden who sold Nathan Sumner his farm.
