Individual Details

John B. (Bourne?) Hawkins

(Abt 1774 - Abt 1843)

Now that leaves Vic and I proposed he was William H. and Elizabeth B.'s son John. The John that usually had been proposed for Wm and Eliz was eliminated by DNA - that is John H and Nancy Withers - they were not a DNA match. John B. fits the time frame as well. Ben Jr.'s John was also proven not to be John B either. The best proposed fit would be Wm and Eliz. (Janet S.)

William, son of Benjamin and Sarah, married Elizabeth Bourne. (Note two different generations for these two Wms. )Wm. and Elizabeth Bourne Hawkins had sons John, James and Benjamin also. It is possible that their son, John, was John B., their son James was James, Olyve and Phil's ancestor, and their son, Benjamin was Benjamin who married Polly Bickers. This is all assumptions, but seems logical

Because the Benjamin who married Polly Bickers died in Orange County circa 1851, I assume that he is not a son of any of the Bourne sisters who married Hawkins men. His father was my Thomas R. Hawkins's grandfather....whoever that is.....
