Individual Details

Elizabeth "Elyth" Hatch

(Abt 1808 - Abt 1880)

Jacob Hatch was the bondsman and George Hatch the girl's father gave personal consent. Elisha was born in NY as were all of his siblings. George Hatch and his wife Mary A. Burba moved to Larue Co., KY in 1816. and remained there until 1824, when they removed to Adams Co., OH. It is believed they were opposed to slavery and that caused their removal to Ohio. Elisha and Elizabeth Hatch Flanders gave their children names consistent with those of the Hatch Family; i.e., Solomon, George, Mary, James, Cynthia, and two daughters with "S" initials, possibly for Silence Hatch or Statire Hatch, brothers of Elizabeth.
