Elisha Bogue / Booge

(1797 - Bef 1860)

Elisha (Elichee) Bogue, was born in 1790 in CT. He married Arbilla Flanders, daughter of Jacob Flanders, b. 1790-1802, in NY. Elisha Bogue came from the area that was CT until the new boundary lines were drawn, which became NY. Sometimes those born in that area during this period were listed as being born in NY or CT. The Bogue family evidently traveled with the Flanders family to Ontario Co., NY. They were living there at the same time period, and subsequently moved to KY with them, as did the Burbas. Several Flanders family members married Bogues and Burbas. It is interesting that George Washington Flanders wife, sister-in-law to Arbilla Flanders, was also from Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT, the same area heretofore described. Elisha was the son of Samuel Bogue.
