Individual Details

William Forman

(8 Apr 1792 - 20 Sep 1856)

William was the son of Joseph Forman and Rebecca Frye, and William's niece would later marry Ruth's brother, James Hackley. William and Ruth had 9 children, all born in Nelson Co., KY. At some point, just after the 1850 Census, the family moved to Plano, Texas in Collin County. William would help found this town, before his death in 1856, at the age of 64. Ruth lived there another twelve years, dying at the age of 70. Both are buried in the Old Plano cemetery, Plano, TX. (In some instances the name is spelled Foreman). Today, much of this family still resides in Texas.

Foreman descendants have oil paintings of William and Mary Van Meter.
