State of Alabama, Perry CountyKnow all men by these presents that we James G Winningham and James F Hughes both of the State and County afore said are held and firmly bound unto Israel Pickens Governor of the state of Alabama or his successors in office in the sum of three hundred dollars for which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs exc. and administrators jointly & severally by these presents this twenty seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and twenty two. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there by no just cause why James G Winningham and Temperance B Stevenson should not be joined together in the holy estate of matrimony, then & in that case this bond shall be null & void. otherwise to - in full force & -irtus in Law
