Lois Eileen Kuhns Weds Renk EilersWayne Zion Church Is Setting For Impressive Wedding Wednesday Morning
Lois Kuhns, the daughter of Lestus Kuhns of Scotch Grove, was married at 11 o'clock yesterday at the Wayne Zion Lutheran church, to Renk Eilers, son of Mr. and Mrs Ben Eilers of Richland. Rev. Willms read the double ring ceremony.
Mrs. W. B. Henrichs played the wedding march and Wilma Kuhns, sister of the bride, sang preceding the ceremony.
The bride wore a floor length dress of wine colored velvet, trimmed at the neck with white velvet and brilliants. She wore silver sandals, a silver hair ornament, and carried a bouquet of white pom poms.
Her attendants, gowned in floor length black taffeta, and carrying bouquets of pink and white pom poms were her sister, Eunice Kuhns and her cousin, DeLite Folkerts.
Herbert Balsiger served as best man and Lester Wenger as usher. A wedding dinner for the bridal party and immediate relatives was served after the ceremony at the bride's home to over 50 guests.
Mrs. Eilers attended the Monticello public schools, her husband has been working In Anamosa. A wedding dance at Zimmerman's hall honored the newly weds Wednesday evening.

Renk E. EilersMONTICELLO ~ The funeral of Renk E. Eilers, 67, was held Monday morning, April 24, at Goettsch funeral home with interment in Oakwood cemetery. Rev. W. Willis Longer officiated.
Mr. Eilers died of an apparent heart attack Friday afternoon, April 21, at John McDonald hospital, where he had been a patient for a few hours.
He was born near Anamosa on Feb. 11, 1911 to Benjamin and Virginia Tuel Eilers. He received his early education in the rural schools of Jones county and chose farming as his life's vocation.
On Oct. 21, 1936 he married Lois Kuhns and the couple farmed near Monticello until 1972, when they moved to their present home in Scotch Grove.
Mr. Eilers was a member of First Presbyterian church, Monticello. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Judy) O'Daniels of Denver, Colo.; a son, Larry of Freeport, Ill. and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hoag, Mrs. Edna Rhatigan and Mrs. Margaret Hoag, all of Mon- ticello and two brothers, Harold of Hopkinton and Vernon of Monticello. Three sisters and a son, Earl, preceded him in death.
Casketbearers were Howard Edwards, John Grant, Robert Duncan, Walter Hartman, Russell Gray, Wilbur Peters, Vincent Donovan and Carl Sieveka.
