Death

She died young at 15 and was the apple of Papa's eye he was said never to be same again

Mrs. J.W. Prouty wrote her son Chas. William June 27, 1920 ,
"I have sad news to write you tonight. Dear little Estelle Rush died at the Mattie Hersee Hospital last Friday morning. Irene had gone down to Meridian to be at Pauline’s graduation. After she got there she heard of Estelle’s illness and early Friday morning heard that she was dead. She had been sick only a short while and her death was a great shock to all.
     Dear little Estelle we all loved her and I know you will be grieved to know that she is gone from this life, but let us trust she has found the better, fuller life beyond.
Irene’s visit to Meridian was saddened by this sorrow. She went to Cecilia for a little while before coming home Friday and found them all utterly crushed with grief."
