...come across a chart showing a second wife for Herry Eustice; Mary Cook with a son named George b 4/9/1767 in Scotland d 10/9/1833. (George's birthdate is such that he would be older than Henry Eustice Jr which would make Mary the first wife.) George's wife is shown to be Morah Elizabeth Brem b 5/21/1781 d 9/15/1869. Morah is shown to be born in Rowan County, McCulloh Plantation. The "McCulloh Plantation" is shown more like it is a census district than a particular farm. (Bernie)

... a book that has a copy of a letter from Henry E. McCulloh to James Iredell that talks about his son. The letter says that if the boys mother does not treat him well that he will stop sending her money and asked James to check up on him. I think that it gives her 1st name but not sure about the last. I'm sure that he was born in America because James was in America when he received this letter. (Nick, nickmccullough@msn.com )

A letter apparently written by Alice Eidson and in a file in the library in Mocksville, NC. - "Letter dated March 3, 1784 from James Iredell. Mr. McCulloh's son, George, age 17, uncommon fine capacity--had been living with Iredell but had been sent home to his father in England for his education (he had been put by Iredell in Mr. Earl's school at Edenton) had been taken prisoner and carried to Plymouth in England, where he had been confined for some several months without knowing how to find his father. After the peace the boy was released and returned to North Carolina as an American citizen"
