Nathan Fuller

(20 Apr 1719 - Jun 1786)

The History of King's Co. Nova Scotia, states that the Fuller family of King's County is descended from Edward Fuller of the Mayflower, founded by Nathan Sr. (Thomas, John, Samuel, Edward), a grantee in Horton, who was born in East Haddam, Conn., April 20, 1719, and married first Abigail ---- , who died about 1750 (Eaton, 668)
A Middletown deed shows that Nathan was the son of Thomas and lived in Middletown near the Haddam line and the falls of Pocotapaugh stream in Middle Haddam parish. On Sept. 7, 1756, he was appointed guardian to his oldest seven children, his first wife having died about 1750.
After serving in the French & Indian Wars he moved to Novia Scotia. Nathan was a 1761 Horton Grantee. His family moved to Horton, Nova Scotia sometime after his daughter Mercy's baptism, recorded in Middletown, CT on Oct 1762, but before the Horton census of 1770.
