"The boy is Eldred Fallin Ellis (names Fallin for his grandfather and grandmother Fallin), who (the boy) was a soldier in the U.S. regular army and stationed in the Philippines before our war with Germany & he was an officer of some kind then, but I have not heard anything about him since Frida last wrote."
