Subject: Lindsey/Lindsay deeds in Rutherford Co. NC

Last fall I visited the Rutherford Co. NC courthouse and abstracted the
following from the Deed Books. There is a handwritten index to the
deeds, which made them somewhat easy to find, but no copy machine in the
room where they are kept, so I don't have exact copies.

Some of the deeds which Bob Jordan found listed in the USGenWeb archives
I didn't find - perhaps they were left out of the index.

Note the time lag between the dates on the deeds and the dates on which
they were recorded: it varies from a few months to almost 30 years!
Also, I found it interesting that as late as 1808, some transactions
were in pounds rather than dollars.
