Samuel Worcester "Sam" Howard

Excerpt from letter written in 1931 by Thomas H. Blakemore to his cousins:

...My Aunt Eliza's (Lyde) husband's name was Sam Howard & he was my mother's favorite brother-in-law, so when Dad named me Tom after his Dad, my mother slipped in the name of Howard. Uncle Sam was a baggage-master on train running into Springfield, Ohio, and I was born at his home.

His death note says he worked for the Marietta and Cincinnati (M&C) Railroad
