Rhoda Ann Watkins

... Aunt Ann married a man by the name of Thompson and John Theodore was the result. The husband died and while her child was a mere babe she married Alexander Hamilton Wing who adopted her child and he has always been known as John T. Wing, John married and Lily and Nellie were the result. Lily died; Nellie married twice divorcing her first husband and marrying Rolla Trent by whom she has a little girl between 4 and 6 years old. The live in the city of Vandalia and Nellie does not know that Uncle Ham was not her grandfather and she doesn't need to know.
... I forgot to say that Aunt Ann at the age of 79 took her third venture in the matrimonial market and married Harry Mortimer. I never heard of any issue from this union.

He died in 1899 and in 1905,
she m Harry Mortimer, who died last week.
Her son, J T Wing, brother and niece survived.
During the Civil War she lived in St Louis and although she was from the south and her sympathies lay there, she nursed the Union Soldiers and several years ago, one returned to Vandalia, to personally thank her for saving his life.
Burial was in South Hill Cem.
