August Siebels' Note Fiftieth Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. August Siebels, Monticello, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, October 17. A dinner was held at noon for the immediate family. Open house was held from 2 to 5 p.m. Approximately 100 relatives and friends called on Mr. and Mrs. August Siebels in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Siebels were married October 17, 1898 at Wayne Zion Lutheran church, Monticello, by Rev. C. Mardorf. They are the parents of five children. Mrs. Herman Seehusen. Wyoming; Alva Siebels, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Albert Spooner, Burlington, Iowa; Raymond C. Siebels, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Fritz Loes, Cascade, Iowa. They have 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Raymond Siebels was the only one of the children absent for the occasion.
Mr. Siebels' only sister, Mrs. Gade Lambertus of Clinton, Okla,, was an out of town guest. Other guests attended from Cedar Rapids, Moline, Burlington, Wyoming, Central City, Olin, and Anamosa.
