Death
Samuel was not thought to be a resident of Mississippi, and it was common for people to take raw goods down near the Gulf to sell, so it could be that he was in Mississippi for that reason? Anyone could be robbed on these return trips. No information has turned up as to why Samuel died so young (Barnes, Larry).Endnotes
