MARRIED SARAH MAR.6 1848 2ND WIFE WAS MARY ELIZABETH LUTTRELL THOMPSON SHE WAS THE WIDOW OF JAMES THOMPSON his was son of WILLIAM LINDSEY and SARAH LOGAN Joseph and Mary raised Joseph's three grandchildren after the death of his daughter and her husband, Nancy and Robert Bullock.

He seved as magistrate in Edmonson County and was also a school teacher. The log home he built for his family in the Grassland community is still being lived in today.
