This Indenture made and entered unto this 30th day of June 1841. -
Between Joshua Eatherton of the first part & Archabald Barnes & Sally
Barnes, late Sally Eatherton, Stephen Devers & Eunis Devers, late
Eunis Eatherton, Wm Eatherton & Sarah his wife, Abraham Dewitt &
Elizabeth Dewitt, late Elizabeth Eatherton, and Moses Eatherton &
Hannah his wife of the second part = Witnesseth that the parties of
the Second part for & in consideration of twenty dollars paid to each
of them before the signing sealing and delivery of this conveyance the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do all and convey to said
Joshua Eatherton all these respective right titles interest & claim in
& to a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Hardin County on the
waters of Watkins run a branch of the Nolynn Containing one hundred
acres more or less, the same land upon which Benjamin Eatherton lived
& died and the parties of the second part, legal heirs and
representatives of Said Benjamin Eatherton deceased for & in
consideration of the above sum of money hereby sell & convey all our
right title interest & claim to said land with all its appurtenances
to the said Joshua Eatherton, his heirs & assigns forever. And further
the parties of the second part agree and lined [?] themselves to
warrant & defend the title to the aforesaid land & appurtenances from
themselves, their heirs & all & every person claiming by through on
under them, but from the claim of no other person.
In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands the day & date
above written.

I Samuel Haycraft Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid,
do certify that on the 30th day of June 1841 - the foregoing deed from
Benjamin Eatherton heirs to Joshua Eatherton was produced to me in my
office and acknowledged by Archabald Barnes, and on the 30th day of
July 1841 by William Eatherton, and on the 6th day of May 1842, By
Stephen Deaver, and on the 7th day of August 1842, by Moses Eatherton,
each to be their act and deed = And on the 30th day of June 1841
Sally Barnes, wife of Archabald Barnes, and on the 30th day of July
1841 Sarah Atherton wife of William EAtherton [sic] and on the 6th day
of May 1842 Eunis Deaver wife of Stephen Deaver, and on the 7th day of
August 1842, Hannah Eatherton wife of Moses Eatherton each being
examined by me separate and apart from their said husbands declared
that they did freely and willingly sign seal and deliver said deed &
wished not to retract it, and acknowledged the same again shewn and
explained to them to be their act and deed and consented that the same
might be recorded which is certified - Given under my hand this 21st
day of October 1843

I Stephen W D Stone Clerk of the Larue County Court in the State of
Kentucky, do certify that this deed from Benjamin Eatherton's heirs to
Joshua Eatherton was on the 23rd day of October 1843 produced to me in
my office & acknowledged by Abraham Dewitt & Elizabeth his wife to be
their act & deed -and the said Elizabeth being examined by me separate
& apart from her husband declared that she has signed sealed &
delivered said writing [?] freely & willingly & wished not to retract
it and acknowledged said writing again herein explained to her to be
her act & deed consenteth that the same may be recorded.
Whereupon I have truly recorded the same together with this
certificate of the Clerk of Hardin County Court this 2nd day of
December 1843.
