Humphrey Turner

(Abt 1593 - 1669 - 1673)

Humphrey Turner came from England with his family to Plymouth in 1628, and soon after settled in Scituate, of which town he was one of the founders. He was Representative ofScituate in the General Court some years. He had two sons at the same time, named John, both of whom became heads of families, and both outlived their father. They are designated in his will as "John" and "young son John" (Vinton, 55).
