(2) Ruth W. ____, named as "wife," who acknowledged payment of a mortgage from David Dyer of Augusta 25 1856 (Ken Co deed 167:430-31). Sumner engaged in numerous land deals, some of which involved Abigail (Smiley) Hastings wife of Joseph Hastings (Ken Co deed 75:161) and his father Dodivah (Ken Co deed 75:160).
