Mr. Casper died at the home of his son, Andrew Casper on Friday Jan. 5th. 1894 of la grippe and old age. Mr. Casper was born in Schleswig- Holstein, Germany, eighty-four years ago last October. He came to this country eight years ago and settle in Wayne township where he lived until last spring when he came to Castle Grove with his son Andrew. His wife died before he came to this country. The funeral was held on Sunday and the remains laid to rest In the Prairie Hill cemetery.
