Wyoming is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, where Job claimed to have elisted for service in the American Revolution.

The 1800 census for Lycoming Co., PA lists a Job Phillips, along with a younger Daniel and John Philips household. By 1810, a Job is entered in the tax records for Athens County, Ohio (This is the Job who married Mary Alderman). We have two sons that we've been able to verify: Daniel Phillips b 17 June 1770 d. 21 Aug. 1831, Athens County, Ohio. Job Phillips, Jr. b 3 May 1774, Wyoming, Luzerne Co (formally Northcumberland Co)., PA. d 3 July 1842, Athens County, Ohio. There might be a third son, John Phillips b before 1775 listed in the 1800-1810 census for Lycoming Co., PA and a possibilty that in 1820 residing in Union Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.

We believe Job had additional children but no records to verify this. There is a possibility that Job was married twice. Phillips researcher has a wife, Mary King, b. 4 Mar 1757, died 9 Apr. 1838, Athens Co., Ohio.
5. JOB5 PHILLIPS (JOHN4, MICHAEL3, JOHN2, MICHAEL1) was born 1740 in Rhode Island, and died 27 Jan 1835 in Canann Twp., Athens County, Ohio. He married MARY KING. She was born 04 Mar 1757, and died 09 Apr 1838 in Canann Twp., Athens County, Ohio.
Children of JOB PHILLIPS and MARY KING are:
6. i. DANIEL6 PHILLIPS, b. 17 Jun 1770, Vermont; d. 21 Aug 1831, Athens County, Ohio.
7. ii. JOB PHILLIPS, JR., b. 03 May 1774, Wyoming Valley, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania; d. 03 Jul 1842, Ames Twp., Athens Co., Ohio.
