CLARK COUNTY TRIBUNE, Friday, January 15, 1932Mrs. Brettie Graham. wife of George C. Graham, Hopewell community, died January 11, 1932. Born in Sumter Co., AL, January 17, 1875. Daughter of H. B. and Mattie Scott. In 1883, the family moved to Choctaw Co., AL, where she was reared. Became wife of George C. Graham when she was about 21 years old. They were the parents of four children, two boys, Alman and Elmer and two girls, Virgie and Vera. Mr. & Mrs. Graham moved to the Hopewell community, MS in 1903 where they reared their family. Survivors (besides children) - five brothers, G. A. Scott, Mobile, AL; G. H. Scott, Quitman; J. C. Scott, Crandall; H. J. Scott, Quitman; T. B. Scott, New Augusta; four sisters, Mrs. P. H. Hearn, Enterprise; Miss Lettie Scott, Crandall; Mrs. J. D. Martin, Crandall; Mrs. Will McFadden, Meridian; eight grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services held at Elim church, 12 Jan, Rev. B. C. Land in charge, assisted by Rev. Cliff Johnston. Interment in church cemetery. J. K. Kirkland funeral home in charge.
