The following is a Nelson County, Kentucky document (shown here) regarding Archibald Barnes;
"January the 21 1803 Riceived of William Kendall administrator on the estate of my father James Barnes Dececd the sum of fifteen Dollars part of which is Due me out of the said EstateĀ

On March 22, 1847, Archibald Barnes, as administrator, and Sally Barnes, who hereby relinquishes her right of dower, sell 72 acres of land in Larue County to James Essex for $41.00. (Larue County Deed Book 1, pg. 335.)
Note that a James Essex (1807-1898) is buried in Union Christian Church Cemetery in Larue Co., Kentucky.

On March 3, 1849, Archibald Barnes of Larue County sold Abell Barnes a parcel of land in that same county for $1.00. Later in this document his name is spelled as Able Barnes. This land is not listed by acres, but by description. (Larue County Deed Book 2, page 22.)
