p. 420 David Cannon, planter, to James Morris, both of Duplin Co., 29 Dec 1786, for 300 pds. current money 421A on the SS of the Northeast on Rattlesnake Branch in 4 tracts: (1) 121A on the SS of the Northeast Swamp in the fork of sd. branch , beg. at a small pine in a branch below Anthony Jones' field, being part of a survey of 300A formerly granted by patent to John Connerly dated 2 Apr 1751, which land descended form sd. Connerly to his son Cullen Connerly & since conveyed by sd. Cullen Connerly to JESSE BARFIELD who sold sd. land to Constance Whitfield.; (2) 100A on the SS of the Northeast on Rattlesnake Branch, which was formerly granted to Edward Rollins by patent dated 20 Sep 1753; (3) 100A adj. the 2nd piece formerly granted to SOLOMON BARFIELD by patent dated 15 Mar. 1756, the last 2 tracts being sold to Constance Whitfield by William Graddy & JESSE BEARFIELD; (4) 100A on ....... All 4 tracts of 421A was conveyed .... Henry Goodman deeded the same 421A to STEPHEN BEARFIELD 25 Oct 1785 & sd. STEPHEN deed to David Cannon 16 Nov. 1785. Wit: William Dickson, John Nichols.
