I'm a descendent of the above. Mary Burns is the daughter referenced in Merry Webb's will and she is the sister of, among others, Millian, Lucy, etc. She was married to Charles Burns, but they at some point divorced and apparently were so at the time that Merry Webb wrote his will. I'm attaching a copy of the family letter as written by Calvin Alex Burns, of Bangor (Blount County), AL. This gentleman would be a GGG uncle of mine. My great grandparents were Malinda (nee Burns) and Edward Lindsey, as referenced in his letter to his brother in TX. We come down through Mary and her son, Alexander Burns and his wife, Mary Ellen Roach Burns. I can attest to the fact that our family alone are thousands in numbers.
