Marriage

Announcement cards were received, last week, informing us that a long expected event has at last taken place, and that the ceremony which united Mr. Emmet Moats and Miss Mae Edzards in marriage, was performed at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Himebaugh, of Epworth, on Feb. 10th. We are assured.that we., voice the sentiments of their many friends here when we express our congratulation's and sincere wishes for a long and happy life. Mr. Moats is about ready to enter, upon his chosen business, that of a telegraph operator. He and his bride are expected home today.

Death

Word was received last week by Mrs. W. B. Clark, Monticello, formerly of Scotch Grove, of the death of her cousin, May Edzards- Morts, 96, in Chico, Calif. She was a daughter of Henry and Ella Himebaugh Edzards, pioneer residents of Wayne township. She was married to Emmett Moats a long-time resident of Scotch Grove. Following services burial was in Billings, Mont., where she had lived for quite some time. Besides Mrs. Clark, her cousin she is survived by other relatives in Monticello, namely Mrs. L. A. Oltman and Mrs. Sophia Jacobs.
