Nathaniel Ingraham

(6 Jan 1761 - 28 Feb 1818)

Nathaniel was a volunteer on the Bon Homme Richard with John Paul Jones. He participated in the famous Naval battle with the Serapis in 1779. Nathaniel would later die in the Bay of Biscay where he was buried. His headstone is a memorial. Nathaniel was John Paul Jones' best friend and at Jones' death gave Nathaniel the bronze medal awarded him by Congress for his actions against the Serapis.
