Benjamin Hawkins had a daughter who married Reuben Boston named Sarah Hawkins. Their daughter Frances Boston married William Bell who was from Augusta County Virginia. William Bell purchased land from a Zachery Taylor in 1745. The Hawkins, Bostons, Bells, lived on or near this Mountain. Today it is called the Johnsons Mountain, before it was called Camerons Mountain and before that it was called Bells Mountain.
