John Jennings was a widower with children.Will
John Jennings of Hanover Parish, King George County; wr. 20 February 1728/9, rec. 15 June 1735; executor wife Mary; witnesses William Pullen, Elisha Harly, Elizabeth Harly; to children John, Ann, Margaret, Mary, and Elizabeth (Orange County Will Book 1:6).The names of the witnesses indicate that the will was made in King George Co. Inventories of his estate were recorded in both Orange and King George. In Orange Co. John Hawkins and Isaac Smith provided bond, and an appraisal was made of his estate there on 16 July, 135. John Hawkins was probably the son of John and Elizabeth (Butler) Hawkins of Richmond Co. and the brother of Benjamin Hawkins who married Sarah Willis.
