Lydia Hatch

1677 - Plymouth Court Records. This Court doth allow and approve of Lydia Standlake, the wife of Richard Standlake, of Scittuate, to be gardian unto her two sons, John Barstow and Jeremiah Barstow, of Scittuate aforesaid; and she is hereby impowered to demand, recover, and receive a legacy given unto each of them, the said John Barstow and Jeremiah Barstow, by Micaell Barstow, late of Watertowne, deceaseed, as appeers by his last will and testament; she having given securitie to the Court to deliver the said legacyes to each of them, the said John and Jeremiah, when they come to be of age of twenty and one yeers, and legally demanded.

Notes

Marriage

One of Lydia's sons was probably born about 1667. Assuming this is correct the other son would have been born about two years earlier in 1665. Also assuming the first child was born within the first two years of the marriage Jeremiah and Lydia would have married around 1663.

Marriage

probably as his second wife, she was the widow of Jeremiah Barstow.
