Thomas Pinson

Thomas Pinson was at Scituate before 1636. The surname is variously spelled in early records: Pinson, Pincin, Pinchin. He is recorded as having lands in 1636 'at the end of the hill, by the swamp, south of satuit brook,' This was opposite Buck's corner– late Anthony Waterman's [1831]. Thomas took the oath of fidelity in Scituate in 1638.
Thomas Pinchin, Sr. was among the 26 signers of a petition in Scituate during 1680 protesting being "rated for the erection and maintenance of a church in which they did not worship." (Randall, 10)
