After visiting in Humboldt since the middle of July, Mr and Mrs Karry expect to return to DeHaven, Mendocino Co, where they will make their home for the winter with Mrs. Karry's mother. Duing their stay in Humboldt Mr Karry has had employment at Scotia, wher he and his wife resided with Mrs. Joseph Lockhart, a sister of Mrs. Karry's. - Beacon.

Obituary for John B. Karry, most likely published in "The Times Standard", Eureka California.John B. Karry - Funeral services for John Bartholomew Karry, 85, a native of Humboldt County, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Pierce Funeral Parlors in Eureka. Mr. Karry, who had lived in Knights Valley for the past 6 weeks, died in a Santa Rosa hospital yesterday. He had been in the hospital 6 days. Mr. Karry had been in ill health since 1937, however. Mr. Karry was a former member of the Fortuna Knights of Pythias. Born in Hydeville, Humboldt County, he lived in that area and the Fortuna area most of his life. Surviving are his wife, Martha K. Karry of Rt. 1, Box 53, Knights Valley; a brother, Tom Karry of Rio ell, and 2 foster children, Mrs. Maynard (Violet Whiteley of Calistoga and Woodrow Burnett of Berkeley. Welti Funeral Parlors has charge of arrangements in Santa Rosa. Interment will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka. (This is dated Nov. 19, 1951)
