John Bisco was a soldier at Lake George, 1756-57
John came from Cambridge to Spencer where he bought the central part of lot 17 in 1763. He was well thought of and held the office of either town clerk, selectman, assessor or treasurer every year from 1767 to his death. He was a representative to the General Court for 1777, 1780, and 1781. John was a member of the convention that formed the Massachusetts State constitution in 1779. Governor Hancock appointed him a justice of the peace on March 1, 1781, and deacon of the Congregational Church, a office he held until his death.
