FORT MILL — The funeral for Mrs. Lois Porter Furr, 79, of 620 Silver Run Road, who died Wednesday, March 23, 1988, at Piedmont Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fort Mill Church of God, with the Rev. Lynn Porter officiating and the Rev. Doug Morgan assisting. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery. A Fort Mill native, Mrs. Porter was a former employee of Springs Industries and also was involved in nursing. She was a member of Fort Mill Church of God. Surviving are three brothers, Thomas Porter, Marshall Porter and James Porter, all of Fort Mill; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Furr and Myrtle Porter, both of Fort Mill; two stepsons, Melvin Furr of Philadelphia, Pa., and Oren Furr of Charlotte, N.C.; her stepdaughter, Mrs. Harold Ware of Charlotte; one grandchild and three great-grand-children. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home.The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, March 25, 1988
