Boyle and Sarah lived at Bulahdelah, their home was on the banks of the Myall River. When their home was burnt down,on the evening on 30th September 1925 Boyle went to live with Ada in Sydney, Sarah to live with Kit at Stockton, Newcastle.Sydney Morning Herald 1st October 1925 and Singleton Argus Saturday 3rd October 1925 Fire on Wednesday 30th September 1925:
A cottage, owned and occupied by Mr White and his wife, at Bulahdelah, was completely destroyed by fire. It was situated in a lonely spot on the river bank and tho aged couple were retiring for the night, when the candle which Mrs White was holding came in contact with curtains. Everything was consumed with the exception of a few chairs.
