The LDS IGI has his name as "Joe Plese Brown" and says he was born 17 Jul 1875, died 18 Dec 1950, but that's contrary to family records. The family bible said he was born 17 Aug 1875 and died 3 Dec 1848, but the death certificate has date of death as 18 Dec 1947 and gave his birth date as 17 July 1875. I take it the death certificate is likely to be more accurate. The death certificate spelled his name "Plas J. Brown" instead of "Pleas Joe Brown", gave his wife's name as Maggie Brown, and his father's name as Wick Brown.
