formerly Alice Jordan and James Jordan heirs and devices of Thomas Jordan the Elder, the father of Elias, Nancy, Reuben, Francis, Mary, Alice, Thomas and James, departed this life in the month of Feb last. (Feb 1815), leaving by will a tract of
tracts of land.
William and Joseph are to sell, dispose of and deliver up in all our names and on all behalf all the said real estate. Or Hands offered to seal in County of Gallatin, aforesaid this 11 day Sept 1815.
Thomas Jordan Sr. was an Elder in the Baptist Church. He was sergeant in Captain Moore's 3rd Company, Militia of Illinois Territory, Indian Wars of 1810-1813. He was a viewer to build a road (formerly a trail) from Shaneetown to Kaskaskia,
